QUALIFICATIONS
Louis is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) and is one of only 3 CERTIFIED FINANCIAL TRANSITIONIST (CeFT®) in South Africa. Louis is also a FIDUCIARY PRACTITIONER OF SOUTH AFRICA (FPSA®)
He completed his B.Comm degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 2008. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (Stellenbosch University) (cum laude) as well as an Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (Investment Planning) from the University of Free State.
Louis completed his Advanced Diploma in Estate and Trust Administration (cum laude) in 2022 also at the University of Free State.
EXPERIENCE & AWARDS
Louis started his career in 2009 at a large auditing firm and co-found WealthUp in 2012. He has been giving advice for the last 14 years. Louis was a finalist in the FPI Financial Planner of the Year 2018 Competition.
Louis is a member of The Financial Planning Insitute of Southern Africa as well as the Fiduciary Institute of Southern Africa.
PERSONAL
Louis is happily married, has two adopted cats and a beautiful little girl. He loves life, has a passion for helping people. He also enjoys trail and road running.
